So - apparently there is a holiday coming up called Christmas. I know who Christ is, I met him in heaven before I was born, but I didn't know when his birthday was. Last year, I was around, but was just kinda a "lump" as my Aunt Traci called me! Well, anyway, I heard that even though it's Christ's birthday, WE get presents! Wow, what kid woulnd't love that?! Rock on! So.... while mommy is resting (she's been sick), I jumped online and went to Target.com and made a wish list of what I'd like to see under the christmas tree this year!!! You can go there too and make a list - mommy said that would really help her out when it's time for her to shop! Adults can make wish lists too!
anyway - go to Target's site, click on "target lists" and then search for MY name. Rock on!

I'm one year old now!!!

Thanks to everyone that came to my party last Friday night - did we have fun, or what? I think I still have blue frosting up my nose!!! And thanks to everyone for the presents and gift cards! Mommy says we are going to have to move my birthday to the middle of the year so that new toys get spaced out more from Christmas! I say "bring it on"!!!!!
Happy Birthday to me!!!!!

Thank you for your prayers.....
Thank GOD and thank YOU for your prayers. Ian is back home sleepy soundly in his own bed after 2 very scary days..... He had started getting sick Sunday morning, but we thought maybe it was just allergies. Rob stayed home with him (no daycare) on Monday and he continued to get worse and pretty much stopped eating and drinking. By 5:30am on Tuesday, we had decided it was time to take him to the ER.
We took him to Sherman Hospital in Woodstock. Everyone there was fantastic. Nothing like seeing the entire Emergency Room staff turn their heads and look when we walked in and he was gasping for air and crying. Everyone rushed to our sides. Normally, you can sit in the ER for hours and hours.... we were in and out of there in an hour and a half! The doc took one look at him and said "we don't have a pedi department good enough for him, we need to air lift to him a better hospital."
The WORST feeling in the world is watching your 11 month old son (or any age, I'm sure) strapped onto an adult sized curney, tubes sticking out of him all over, being loaded into a helicopter and Life Flighted away from you. They were great enough to let us walk him out to the heli pad and Rob and I both stood there and cried watching them take off.
We had to drive an hour to get to the hospital. The longest drive of my life.
The staff at the Rockform Memorial hospital was great too! They really took care of us, and God lead us to the right place.
Long story short - we are back home! Ian is doing much better, still sick, but a totally different child than he was Tuesday morning. At one point, the nurses all started calling his name (at the ER) because he was just staring off into space. I think his body was shutting down. At that point, I started crying. When they said they needed to Life Flight, of course, that brough the tears too.
Thank God Daddy is an RT, cause is able to keep an eye on Ian and knows how to do it all.
As I was putting Ian to bed tonight, the tears came back again. Man, I love that little guy SO very much.
Being a mother can HURT like hell, but it's the BEST thing in the world too.
Thank you all for your prayers! Please keep praying that he continues to gain strength and get better.
(ohhhh, we really have no idea what he has! One doc said pneumonia and one said no!!!)

I don't feel good......
Please say your prayers for me. I am very sick right now. Daddy took me to this place called "Urgent Care" today and they took chest x-rays and said that I have bronchitis. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I can't get comfy... and I don't want mommy and daddy to put me down at all. I just want to feel better soon!

Lil toes, lil hands, lil nose.....
Does anyone know how much I love my little guy? I can't believe he turned 11 months old yesterday (09/24/08)! My, how time has flown by! I can't believe he'll be ONE YEAR OLD in a month!
As I put him to bed each night, I love that quite time with just me and him. His skin is so soft, his toes curl up as he gets sleepy, and he has to hold some of my hair in his hands as he dozes off! And I kiss his wee little nose as I lay him in the crib.
Ahhhhh, this is the love my mother always told me about!!!
